becoming a public preceptor
Public preceptors are chosen by the college, after extensive consultation with the Order. It will often be one of the public preceptor kulas that puts forward a possible public preceptor for discussion with the whole college. We will normally be considering private preceptors who have had some direct experience of working with men and women in the ordination process. If there is initial agreement within the college then a wider consultation process is started with the order, similar to that for a private preceptor, before a final decision is made.
