procedures
Within the Western Buddhist Order we have developed a number of practical ways of giving expression to our ideal of Sangha. Procedures and agreed ways of doing things have emerged over the last forties years or so as a result of our shared experience.
In this section some of the most important procedures are spelt out so as to make our work easier and for the sake of clarity. Following agreed procedures also helps maintain our unity within our diversity, giving a recognised form to our shared spiritual aspirations.
Here you'll find information about conducting kalyanamitra ceremonies, things to do with ordination, becoming a preceptor, reviews of preceptors, how to notify shabda and something about order members leaving the Order.
